How to Get Ripped Abs
Time, dedication and a little hard work and you too can get ripped abs. Sure, you say, but I’m too skinny to get ripped abs. There is a plan that works even if you are too skinny.
Keep Your Plan in Focus Stay focused on your goal, ripped abs, and create a workout program that ‘fits’ your life. A workout program that consists of “circuit training” elements; bench presses, military presses, bicep and leg curls, rowing, back extensions, squats and dead lifts creates maximum variety so your muscles work hard and you don’t get bored. Work your program only three to five days a week and see results.
Abs First Start every workout with your abs. By engaging your abs first they stay engaged throughout the whole workout. You are also freshest at the beginning of your workout therefore whatever you do first you a likely to work the hardest. Abs first; then move onto the rest of your workout.
Push To The Max It is important not to hurt yourself; but you need to push yourself and your muscles. To find the ideal weight to lift; the weight should be comfortably easy with the first few reps but then by rep 10 to 12 it should be a challenge to lift. Continue to lift that weight for 3 sets of 10 to 12 reps each. Remember to increase your lift weight every two to three weeks. Keep pushing those muscles.
Rest Your Muscles It is important that you allow your muscle a chance to rest and repair. When lifting weights to build bulk and get ripped abs you are actually injuring or breaking down the muscle and it is key that your muscles have a day to repair and rebuild. Lifting weights every other day is ideal. By lifting weights every other day you give your muscles a chance to repair themselves; become bigger and stronger.
Eat Plenty and Sleep Well Finally, plenty of sleep and good nutrition are important elements to getting ripped abs especially if you a little underweight you need the right fuel to stay focused and get results. Be sure your diet contains plenty of fresh fruits and vegetable, lean proteins life beef and chicken, fish, omega-3 fatty acids and monounsaturated fatty acids and complex carbohydrates. If you can’t get enough calories through ‘good’ food choices, don’t reach for junk food; a better choice is a meal replacement shake.
